Get off LT's back!
I don't like the Chargers, and let's just say LT's not my favorite back. But can people cut him some slack! Who is the media or we the fans to say that he should have played?! Does everyone think he was just pouting on the bench because there was too much pressure or he was scared like a baby? From what I can tell from the past, the guy looks like he's got plenty of heart and fight.
"But Rivers and Gates were hurt and they played!" So i guess all injuries are created equal, right? Yeah right. And I suppose QB's need to run all out and make cuts on every play like backs do. Obviously it's alot more strain on an injury to run the football than to hobble around the pocket and fall down if a defender gets to you.
And did anyone see how effective said injured Gates was? Getting a ball defended in the red zone by 80 year old Bruschi?
And the sad part is that what's lost in all of this, is that LT(did i mention i don't like the guy?) made a gutsy decision and took himself out of the game. Did he not have enough heart? No. He understood just how good his back-up Turner is and realized that Turner could help his team better than he could.
For once it would be nice if the media would recognize that a great player wasn't thinking of just himself and his ego. But about his team and their best chance to win.
And I keep hearing alot of crap about the chargers blowing it and not producing in the red zone. Well, let's say they scored 2 more touchdowns in the red zone and didn't settle for FG's. Do the math...final score NE 21
SD 20 F
The Chargers didn't blow it. They put their best (albeit injured) effort out on the field. And they lost.

I couldn't agree more. I mean, I actually DO love the Chargers and I love LT. I think this guy has a LOT of heart and he's one of the least selfish players out there!! For all you LT fans, I actually found this video on YouTube and it's awesome! Give the guy respect! http://youtube.com/watch?v=W3xv_TAWrvo

Thanks for the link NFLover... That is an interesting video. Who created this? Vizio?
I agree that LT has a lot of heart. He's not a whiny little b*tch like so many others, and he's not a martyr either. It's not good to be a martyr because then you'll just get hurt worse. It's a smart decision not to push yourself when you're injured.

Well, I originally found the video on Vizio.com/lt and then I guess it got posted to the Youtube site, so yea - I'm guessing Vizio made it. Pretty cool huh? There are more videos like that on the Vizio.com site so check them out!
But yea...someone that can take himself out of the game because he knows it's for the best shows class right there.
