All-Time Leader in Tackles?
OK, so I am working on a project for my friend who is a walking encyclopedia of football stats, facts, trivia....whatever. He knows it all! He did mention that he can't find the stats for one little question. He has looked all over the place, as have I, but neither of us can find the answer. Hopefully someone here can help!
Who is the all-time leader in tackles? (Hopefully I worded that correctly. Just in case...who has made the most tackles? - I'm not up on all of the correct terminology.)
Personally, I think this is a stat that the NFL doesn't keep bc the possibilities of players are so broad and the numbers would be so high....BUT...I could be wrong? What do I know?
So, anyone who has the answer to this and can show me where to find it would be my all time hero! (My friend says if he can't find it, neither can I. Someone help me make him wrong PLEASE!)

Could very possibly be White. I wonder how we can find out though? I searched on Google to know avail though.

White is the all-time leader in Sacks...I know that. As far as tackles I don't think so.

Yeah I found the information regarding the sacks aswell. I still haven't been able to confirm the tackles though.
Anyone else have any luck with this yet?

Jessie Tuggle Atlanta Falcons (1987-2000) 1803 total tackles (1165 solo), I think he is the all-time leader with his total.
Note* Espn says-1809 tackles)
Wiki says- 1803 tackles)

Actually, Fellas, Jessie Tuggle finished his 14 year career with 2065 tackles, which was the most in team history. Still havent found where he leads the NFL, yet. He did lead the league in 1990 & 1991 with the most tackles, but if anyone can show me where he leads the league OVER ALL, you get a cookie! Anyone up for the challenge?

Bruce Smith Buffalo Bills Redskins is the all time leader in Sacks with 200 even-passing White's 198, But Smith played for many more years than White to break his record.

1809 Total 1455 Solo Junior Seau, Tuggle was it before this year, Seau tied him...but yeah it does not have this info any-place!!
