American Football and English Rugby
Hey, many of you will know what american football is, but the thing is it is almost the same as english rugby, english football is your soccer, its weird how these names are all jumbled up, who came up with what first, rugby or american football?

RE: American Football and English Rugby
I think rugger came about first, although I am unsure when the "official" laws of each game were codified.
I think the two games are not as alike as, at first, they appear.

I don't find them that similar either, although as an American I would rather watch rugby than soccer. Something about the violence, I guess.

I think rugby is more aggressive out of the two (football and rugby). There are more 'official' rules in Football, while Rugby its really all about tackling and what not, although both seem to be pretty similar, they both have different rules.
