Well, one day into free agency and I would say that the winner so far is the Cleveland Browns. To start Derek Anderson will be back. After that they didn't really sign free agents, but they were able to swing trades that landed S. Rodgers and Corey Williams that will create the most dominant DT combo in the league. Good luck running between the tackles Rudi, Willis, and Willie. I will agree however this is a big gamble. In order to accomplish the Browns have cut Roye, traded away Bodden, and given up their 2nd round draft pick. It will be intersting to see what they do with the rest of FA as they still have some needs and no draft early draft picks
Other winners for me so far are the Jaguars. They have addressed a defensive age problem and added some much needed upgrades in the receiving corp. Cleo Lemon is a nice insurance policy to have as well. I have a hard time believing that Troy Williamson can't rebound. In Minnesota he didn't have a chance with the poor quality of QBs.
I feel that the Eagles made a bold move probably based on the poor quality of talent at corner that Andy saw at the Combine. I don't believe Samuel is worth that much. Gay is a better coverage corner though he doesn't have the ints to show it. It will be interesting to see what he gets in Free Agency. Now recall, had he not gotten injured we wouldn't have watched what I believe was Hobbs blow coverage and cost the Pats the Super Bowl.
Can't wait to see what happens with OL Faneca and Scott (colts). I heard many say that the draft class is pretty deep at Ts as many as eight could go in the first round or early second. Some tackles can easily be converted to guard so we will have to wait and see if Faneca gets the Hutchinson and Steinback numbers we have seen in the past.
I alsoagreed about this is a big gamble. In adjustment to achieve the Browns accept cut Roye, traded abroad Bodden, and accustomed up their 2nd annular abstract pick. It will be intersting to see what they do with the blow of FA as they still accept some needs and no abstract aboriginal abstract picks.
i think the cowboys the cowboys will get the most out of the draft b/c all that they would need is a deep saftey while other teams will be looking for taklesand leace the best saftey still in pick for the cowboys.... i say the vikings will get an ok pick for what number they are because all they need is maybe someone on the defencive side to catch a couple more interceptions and to keep down the #1 recievers of teams. They could also use another running back to take chestor taylors place b/c using percy harving for everything they would plat like the saints and just get him injured like favre and warner
