Lotteries are for mugs

if you go by the selling points that various lotteries bombard you with, you would think that all you need to do is buy a ticket and immediately start counting your millions. the odds are so badly loaded against players that you could actually end up losing a fortune in the bargain.

Yeah you do end up losing a lot of money to lotteries. My parents did it for years and would spend over 50 a week on lotto tickets.

I was suprised, but there were some times (rarely) when they would get a cpl numbers right and get like 200-300 bucks.

But that was long ago and they quit this business, and I msyelf will never start to do that...I don't make enough money to afford that habbit.

Hmm.. Unless different from where I live (Canada) I have never seen Lottery Companies try and disguise the odds of winning.

Everyone knows the chances of winning the Lottery are so slim that they shouldn't spend their money, but for some reason they do. As far as I'm concerned I have never seen the Lotto Company claim their Lotto's are Bargains. They are a chance that people take, in the pursuit of money.

No other reason in my mind!
