This is an issue in every sport, but I think it's been the worst in MLB. And although they passed a strict policy in 2005 about steroids, that still didn't stop players from using them.
I guess it has to do with pressure and money involved, but it's still upsetting to find out that people who make so much money are using unfair advantages to get that far. While tons of other potential players who haven't been recruited nor who have even touched the stuff are out there.
I think anyone that uses steroids should be immediatly removed from the game and not allowed back.
I knew this one guy that was trying to become a pitcher and was taking steriods to do it (I didn't know then). After the school found out what he was doing he was expelled, I feel sorry for him but he shouldn't of ever thought of doing that.
Steroids are stupid. Its just like women getting breast implants. People want to be liked no matter what it takes. Even if what people like isn't even part of the real them.
They will have to deal with the consequences once they retire from the sport, and are all screwed up from the roids. Guess thats the cost for some of these guys.
