What do you guys think about the recent suspensions of Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson. Do you think they were justified and received valid punishments?
Hasn't Artest developed a clear penchant for dust-ups both on and off the court? I know he was banned a few years back for leading a brawl with Pistons fans. And wasn't his wife on the receiving end recently too? Clearly the boy has anger management issues and taking away his pocket money and games privileges is not going to solve the problem there. I don't really know much about Jackson.
If, I, as an average Joe on the street repeatedly belted other passers-by, I have little doubt that after a few instances any judge would notice a trend and order a stiffer penalty. Why should NBA players be exempt from similar penalties?
I like what they are doing in the NFL, and if the NBA follows the NFL then there would be more discipline in the NBA. Now that the NBA is under the microscope. they need to make a splash about something. and clean things up.
Those pig headed fans got exactly what they deserved??!!! what kinda world is this when players get in trouble for theyre manhood being tested in front of millions??? Then the arena goes wild and tries to fight the players but yet we still blame the players? "theyre suppose to be role models" hahahaha how bout we leave that job to the parents and stfu!
